Philip’s pursuit of legal excellence commenced at Michigan State University, Detroit College of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) in 1997. It was here that he began honing his legal prowess, ultimately becoming a distinguished advocate for justice, particularly in the realm of criminal law. ​ Before diving into law, Philip embarked on his academic journey at Hampton University, a celebrated Historically Black College and University (HBCU). At Hampton, he earned a degree in sociology/ criminology, an educational chapter that solidified his passion for social justice and criminal law.
